Industry Hi-tech achievements
In 2002, the output of pig iron is 2.46 million tons, 31.35% up to the
last year, such an increase is very important in production, the company
has performed a total 163 projects and create an economic profit of
40.52 million RMB.
The company has tried to make a breakthrough in technology innovation
and the working policy of "Technology makes prosperity and innovation
makes efficiency" has been brought about. To do this, we have
to do following four things: first, to introduce advanced technologies,
to perform academic exchanging, to send technicians to other companies
for visiting and learning, to absorb leading technology experiences
and complete some of large-sized projects; second, by using various

Steel-making
company has their pure water system reformation done
To meet the needs of water for production use, the steel making company
reformed water circling system and the task has already been done
by now.
The system originally has 8 pumps which basically meet the needs
of three furnace use, but the no4 furnace put into production, the
water supply is deficient, therefore, the company decided to reform
the original pumps to new big power ones. After 20 days of operations,
the reformation has been completely done very well.

company proposed higher requiremtns. This time, the humanity safety
slogan is another measure for safety management jobs. All slogans
were collected from staff, now, the slogan can be seen on corridor,
building offices and walking roads.

Sars is a kind of pneumonia caused by mycoplasma, chlamydozoan and

blast furnace was put into production
No7 blast furnace was put into production on the day of 10th, May.
The project, as one of key engineering, is the base of beigang's
steel production. Breaking earch on the day of 18th, Ocotober, 2002,
the project was invested 120 million RMB, the bulk of the blast furnace
is 420 stere, the annual output will be 400,000 tons. Most of technics
and facilities were introduced from domestical leading technology.
The operation of hot blast furnace and the whole feeding system are
computer-controlled; the pressure at the top of furnce is 0.12MPA,
due to its find sealing, long respond time and huge air volume, the
furnacecan decrease the rate of coke and increase producing capacity.
The furnace smelting employs the technology of mixing smoke and coal,
the mixture rate of smoke and coal is 30%, to do so can save RMB 40
Yuan each ton, if the machine goes well, the rate can be increased.
The preheating device can heat by using recovered waste gas from hot
blast furnace to intend to decrease costs and increase air temperature;
dust extraction system adopts gas bag dust wiper, nitrogen is uded
for dusting, the best dusting effect can be done in the higher pressure;
the furnace body was made from imported micropore carbon brick and
hot blast furnce was made from low creep deofrmation fire-retarding
brick, the furnace body's life can be prolonged.
The project, as one of major projects in Beigang's the 10th five
years plan, was co-worked by Benxi Guangda Inc., Benxi Iron &
Steel Co.,Ltd. and Beijing Jinbai Intelligent Control Stock Co.LTd.
The launching of this project makes Beigang have the capacity of 3.5
million tons of pig iron each year.
Beizhong
has two new types of loaders manufactured
After on year of efforts, the technicians of Beizhong succeesully
trial produced two new types of loaders, the sample loader has already
been launched.
The two loaders, ZLQ60 sliding truck and ZL08 loader, can rotate
360 degrees, the minimum turn semidiameter is 2 meter, suitable for
working in the narrow working places. During the trial producing,
the technicians made a great efforts on designing and drawing, relative
workshop sent out backbone forces for trialing.
It is reported that the requiremtns of these two new types of loader
was very large, after luanching markets, it can be the new economy
growth point.

Recently, Beiying steel-making company successfully comploete the
trail production of 20mm threading steel.
To further optimize products structure, expand production variaties,
the cmpany invested 800,000 RMB for the technology of 20mm threading
steel two syncopation. After reformation, the technology increased
the products output from 1600t/d to 1920t/d, the nanual economic benefit
can be increased 4 million RMB.
